Monaghan Sports Partnership is proud to announce the details of its Sports Ability Easter Camp as part of its sports inclusion programme covering counties Monaghan and Cavan. The camps will cater for children with a disability aged 5-14 years and their siblings. The camp will take place in  Corcaghan Community Centre on the 4th and 5th of April and will run from 11am-1pm each day.

A wide range of sports and activities will be offered over the two day camp and will allow children to try out sports such as Gaelic, Soccer, Tai Chi, Tag Rugby, Parachute Games and Target Games. The camp will be supported by coaches from the National Governing Bodies of the FAI and GAA, along with local sports coaches / tutors.

This camp is unique in that it caters for children with physical, intellectual, learning and sensory disabilities and also accommodates their siblings and parents which is a fantastic way to promote family interaction through the medium of sport and physical activity. To allow the Sports Partnership and the tutors to adequately prepare for the camp activities, it is vital that applications are received early and that parents/guardians supply as much information as possible about their child and his/her disability. All information is held in the strictest confidence and used only for the purposes of camp preparation.

There are a limited number of places available on the camp, therefore application forms and registration fees must be received by the closing date of Friday, 16th March. The camp is subsidised with a charge of €10 for the first child from a family and €5 for every child from the same family thereafter.
