Offaly County Council (on behalf of Offaly Sports Partnership) invites applications for the position of: PART-TIME SPORTS INCLUSION DEVELOPMENT OFFICER (1 YEAR FIXED TERM CONTRACT – 3 day week)

Salary:  €24,127.8 – €29,097 per annum

Meath Local Sports Partnership

 

Meath Local Sports Partnership in conjunction with the Health Service Executive wish to recruit a Project Facilitator for the Be Active ASAP programme on an initial 6 month fixed term contract commencing in October 2012.

Hours of work will be 35 hours per week.

 

The Project Facilitator will facilitate the continued expansion of the ASAP programme within the primary schools located in the HSE Dublin NE area in addition to supporting the development of the programme in the primary schools located within the Local Sports Partnership`s network nationwide. 

The candidate shall:

  • Hold a relevant diploma/degree in sports/health related studies
  • Have experience of project management and of piloting and developing physical activity based initiatives.
  • Have the inter-personal skills to involve people, schools and communities in the planning, delivery and evaluation of programmes and initiatives.

Candidate must hold a full clean driving licence and have own transport.

The salary for this post will be at Grade IV Research Assistant Salary Scale of the HSE Salary Scale.

Swim Ireland Education Delivery Body Officer

 

Applications are invited for the post of Swim Ireland Education Delivery Body Officer in Swim Ireland, Irish Sport HQ, National Sports Campus, Blanchardstown, Dublin 15

Role: To support the implementation, delivery and on-going monitoring of the Swim Ireland Education Operational Plan for both Qualifications and the Continued Professional Development (CPD) programme.

Key Responsibilities and Areas of Accountability:

  • Implement and monitor Swim Ireland programmes such as Teaching and Coaching Qualifications and CPD. This will include planning, organisation, communications, marketing, delivery and review on a 32 county basis.
  • Feed into the operational planning process for all Education initiatives and programmes to ensure our programmes are fit for purpose and suit the needs of our infrastructure based on current programme delivery and feedback.
  • Build positive working relationships with key partners and stakeholders and our Education workforce (Tutors, Internal Verifiers etc) to ensure programmes delivery for Swim Ireland across the 32 counties.
  • Work closely with the Education Manager on the development of Online Learning, Education Sections on the Swim Ireland website and shop and manage the Swim Ireland Education Blog.

Salary: This is a salary post with a three years’ full-time fixed-term contract, which includes a six months’ probation period.  The salary range is €28,000-€30,000 based on qualifications and experience.

Offaly County Council (on behalf of Offaly Sports Partnership) invites applications for the position of: Community Based Sports and Physical Activity Assistant(s) Internships (x4)

The intern will gain practical experience in the delivery of in-school and out of school programmes for children, and in the delivery of a range of sporting recreation programmes for people of different ages and abilities within community settings. The intern will receive formal/informal training in the following: child protection, first aid and the delivery of a range of sporting and recreation programmes for people of different ages and abilities. On completion the intern will have attained skills in programme delivery and event management. Applicants must supply suitable character references and be prepared to complete a Garda vetting form.

The intern must be open to ongoing training and development, have the capacity to work well and communicate with people of all ages and abilities, and take direction in the delivery of work programmes. Given the nature of the work, flexibility will be required of the intern in order that programmes are delivered at times convenient to communities. In the case of an intern working in a rural setting, access to own transport will be required

This is a nine month Internship. An allowance of €50 per week will be paid in addition to your current Social Welfare payment. See eligibility criteria here
