Sports First Aid Course
Monaghan Sports Partnership Sports Partnership has organised a Sports First Aid Course to assist Sports Clubs in the county to provide a safe environment for those participating in sport.
The course covers a comprehensive range of topics to prepare participants to administer Emergency First Aid care at a high level of practical skill so that they can deal competently with any situation that arises.
The course will cover the following areas in First Aid:
- Scene Management
- Primary Survey
- First Aid Kit
- Bleeding and Wounds
- Treatment for Shock
- Heart Attack
- Stroke
- CPR
- Fractures
- Sprains and Strains
- Unconsciousness
This course will be tailored to meet the needs of the particular group being trained, with examples and role plays used being specific to the group.
On successful completion, course participants are issued with a one day Sports First Aid certificate of Attendance.
The course takes place on Saturday 25th February 2012 10am – 5pm Venue: Iontas Centre, Castleblayney Co Monaghan
Places are limited and will be allocated on a first come first served basis. Cost of the course is €35 (Refreshments provided but bring own Lunch)
