Monaghan Comhairle na nÓg is a youth council made up of young people from right across County Monaghan and is supported by Monaghan County Council. Each year they take on a project with the hope of increasing awareness or making a change on their chosen topic. This year their project aims to support LGBT young people through a targeted schools media campaign. Their project ties in perfectly with the theme for Monaghan Social Inclusion week this year which is “I am Monaghan, We are Monaghan”. The idea being promoted that no matter who you are, what your religion is, what your nationality is, what your sexual orientation is, what your employment status is etc, you are a part of Monaghan!
So, what better way to celebrate the diversity of the community that make up Monaghan, than a colourful fun filled morning at a 5km Colour Run!
